I'll dominate 'legitimate combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to promote the upcoming bout.

Ex two-time world boxing king Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge mismatch - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I plan to injure his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to genuinely try to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

Despite those words, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - usually famous for his dramatics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead attacked former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British opponent Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

However, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently being planned for 2026.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers participated in the usual face-off, with their height and weight contrast on show, it emphasized just how surprising this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is really going ahead.
